This coming weekend is the final weekend of league play for District VII.  The Owls have played all of their conference series, but still have one game against UH-Downtown to be rescheduled.  While Rice currently sits atop the standings, Lone Star College is only two wins behind with three games left to play.  The Owls are in the driver’s seat, having won the head-to-head series against LSC-Montgomery.  For Montgomery to make the postseason, Lone Star needs to sweep Texas A&M Corps of Cadets this weekend, and the Owls would then have to lose their makeup game against UH-D.  If either the Corps of Cadets or the Owls win a game, Rice will advance out of District VII.
